Update #1: Sandia EOC was stood up at 09:00 AM/ET to address power outage caused by a downed power line during a thunderstorm Tuesday evening, August 29, 08:44 PM/ET. Protective measures were taken and the decision was made to leave protective measures in place overnight and address downed power line in the morning (Wednesday, August 30). Members of work force were notified and kept from entering affected area by protective forces until All Clear is declared. Currently, 9 facilities are without power in a remote area in Coyote Canyon near the DOE live-fire range. All personnel are accounted for and site is working with Kirtland AFB to repair power line.
