​On May 7-9, 2024, the 38th annual Emergency Management Symposium (EMS) was held in Atlanta, GA. Approximately, 400 attendees from across the Emergency Management Enterprise engaged virtually and in person through a range of panels, presentations, and group discussions focused on the theme, “Be Ready:  Lead, Communicate and Prepare!”  This year’s event boasted amazing plenary speakers, presentations, exhibitors, and great synergy on the floor.

Participants engaged in session topics around leadership, response, preparedness, planning, communication, and analysis. Thought leaders and heavyweights in the emergency management (EM) industry shared riveting perspectives and encouraged collaboration across the enterprise, sharing and leveraging of best practices, and the continued evolution of EM through enhanced readiness, the delivery of emergency management programs, and continuity capabilities. 

Many of the EMS presentation recordings and slides are being added to our Emergency Management Resource Library and Database (EMRLD).
